About Adheesha
Adheesha Jayawardhana is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and the Clinical Lead at Accelerate Nutrition. She has been practising since 2019 and brings a strong professional background in NDIS support and chronic disease management across all life stages.
Her experience includes working within GP clinics and community settings, where she applies a practical, holistic approach to help clients navigate complex health journeys and improve their quality of life. As Clinical Lead, Adheesha guides the team’s clinical standards and provides specialist support for participants with complex nutrition needs — including tube feeding and children’s nutrition.
Adheesha is passionate about empowering her clients to feel in control of their health. She loves seeing participants enjoy small wins throughout their health journey. Outside of work, Adheesha loves animals and enjoys when they join the consultation. She likes to unwind by watching her favourite TV shows with tea — or hot chocolate in winter.

Adheesha takes a holistic, practical approach. She focuses on giving you the knowledge and tools you need to feel more in control of your health outcomes — not just handing over a plan and leaving you to figure it out.
As Clinical Lead, she’s particularly experienced with complex cases. Whether it’s adjusting a tube feeding regime, working through food challenges with a child, or helping you manage a chronic condition alongside your other supports — Adheesha is methodical, supportive, and always focused on what matters most to you.
